Camp Rotary is in its’ 43rd year of Outdoor Education Programming. We had over 90 6th grade
students attend camp this year. I have heard many stories over the years of the adventures at Camp Rotary, almost a rite of passage for the students of LC! Activities have centered around Ice Fishing, Cross Country Skiing, Orienteering, Pond Study and the Climbing Wall. This year I made my annual trek down to visit the students, check on the programming, and talk to some of our staff. It amazes me that these activities, that we may take for granted such as ice fishing, may be a brand new experience for our students! ...and maybe even some of our counselors (or teaching staff). It is a great opportunity for our older students to experience the role of leadership and develop those team skills with each other and within their groups.
